Coming from Hemet, California, I carry a strong sense of curiosity and perseverance. My interests remain broad as I continue to discover my true passions within science. As an early scientist, I am eager to explore diverse fields, and in the lab I enjoy hands-on techniques such as cell culture, PCR, DNA purification, and gel electrophoresis.
I currently serve as the Obara Lab Manager, where I support lab members with cloning experiments and day-to-day troubleshooting. I work closely with our postdoctoral researcher, Tim Abel, on a project focused on ER-associated degradation and optimizing single-particle density for improved quantification and analysis. Since joining the lab, I have cloned over 60 plasmids—and I am always excited to take on more.
Outside of science, I enjoy raves and concerts, and I love baking for my friends. Baking is my favorite act of service and brings me a deep sense of joy and comfort.
I am an extroverted person who is unafraid to speak my mind and remain authentic in any setting. Outside the lab, I also enjoy playing volleyball, swimming, painting, binge-watching (and rewatching) shows, and spending time with my friends and family.
